Description

A bike similar to this went 136.3 mph on January 24, 1907 at Ormond Beach, Florida. It is said that it was the inspiration for the first of the Tom Swift novels: "Tom Swift and His Motorcycle".
Air-cooled twin-carburetor 269 cu. in. 90 degree F-head power plant developed from an aircraft engine. Weighed 150 pounds.
Bore: 3.625"
Stroke: 3.25"
Output: 40 horsepower at 1800 rpm. Direct drive, no transmission. Box on top of fuel tank is ignition coil.
Weight of motorcycle: 275 pounds.
