Truth is, we all pronounced the name "TAY-nee".   I spent two years aboard her, March 1973 to May 1975.  I reported aboard an SNRD, and transferred to another duty station as an RD3.  Our first trip with me aboard was a Bravo-Charlie.   After that, we had Ocean Weather Station Hotel duty, 7 to 8 weather patrols per season, with summers inport.  The patrols were 30 days, two week replenish and repairs, then back out to Hotel.
We were blessed with GOOD cooks that really enjoyed cooking for other people.   Those patrols, all of them, had things happen that were interesting.  Sometimes the foul weather beat up on us.  Winter was always the worst weather in the Atlantic.  Thanks for posting all the pics of her!  Got any of the Chart Room, CIC?
